Just spent the day solo at Ragdale Hall Spa, courtesy of amazing work colleagues for a big birthday milestone π. Took over a year to get here – life’s been busy!
Initially, my mind was racing with work emails, tasks, and to-do lists. I even brought my work bag “just in case” π . But as I settled in, the calm kicked in.
Reflections of the day…a few things I’d like to remind myself (and maybe it’ll resonate with you too):
– Slow down to speed up: Perspective and grounding come from taking time for yourself π§ββοΈ
– Life’s a journey, not a destination: Continue to find ways to give back and make memories with loved ones along the way π€
– Work can wait sometimes – that email, report, or project will be there tomorrow π¨
– Health and well-being are everything: I’ve seen too many friends and family members recently struggle; don’t wait until it’s too lateπββοΈ
– Show up for yourself as much as you do for others π§‘
– Accept things end…people leave, people sometimes come back but whatever the case your impact lasts π«π₯
– No one will remember you for what you owned, what job you had….just how you made them feel, how you showed up π«Ά
– Make peace with the past; it doesn’t have to be your future π
– Take the risk – the worst may never happenπ
– Looking back on life you will regret things you didn’t do….So, be brave, tell that person you love them/appreciate them…say sorry when you sincerely mean it….go for the career change you always wanted…leave the environment that no longer serve your growthπ«
– Look beyond yourself; there’s 8 billion+ people in this world who could benefit from you, your skills…serve the many not the few π
…Gratitude to my colleagues for this gift and to everyone on this journey with me π
