Finished up yesterday evening in the Podcast studio interviewing Dr Ade Oyedijo who specialises in Operations and Sustainable Supply Management and is a key contributor to discussions on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as president of the Society of Black Academics (SBA).

Sustainability has to be viewed through the lens of a country, company and individual to operationalise it long-term.
Each country, company and individual has contributed and/is impacted by climate change in a different way.
A country struggling with poverty and unemployment may delay its contribution to climate action even if they have signed international agreements.
Least developed countries and developing countries are being expected to compensate for damage developed countries have caused. Is this fair?
Is fairness in supply chain management an idealistic state or can a buyer and supplier reach a point, they individually and collectively view as fair?
The recent unrest in Bangladesh with garment workers protesting for better wages and treatment highlights the ongoing struggle for equality within supply chains. Equality is an on-going concept; organisations and individuals need to continuously work on it.
We often hear of Heads of States/world leaders attending international conferences from COP28 recently in Dubai to Davos in Switzerland. We now want to see the action plan and roll-out of change we need, for the future we want. Let’s walk the talk so to speak!
