As a representative of the Transport for Wales’ (TfW) Sustainable Development Advisory panel I am thrilled to visit the mock-up trains this morning for the new South Wales Metro link.
It is a breath of fresh air to see how social accessibility and multimodal travel was at the foreground of the design and construction of the new fleet of trains and transport links.
Though full electric trains are still some steps away, the trains around central Cardiff will be electric and battery powered, which is a step in the right direction. Very much looking forward to seeing them in action around South Wales.
