Last time I was at the House of Lords was a little over 20 years ago on a 6th Form school trip…showing my age now!
Fast forward 20 years, back here at the House of Lords, this time for the Institute for Collaborative Working (ICW)’s Annual Reception.
It was wonderful meeting Institute for Collaborative Working (ICW) Members today and listening to an Annual update from the ICW leadership team including the CEO Frank Lee. FICW.

*Institute for Collaborative Working*
A Membership organisation that is focused on Collaborative Working (…yes it’s in the name).
Membership ranges from Individual to Executive level. You can also be a Member, I’ve shared their website link in the comments section below.
Executive Members include the likes of the Home Office, Department of Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) to private organisations such as Kier and Airbus.
Collaborative Working is fundamental to achieve ambitious Net Zero targets and Sustainability goals.
The Institute is well placed to make a significant impact.
*House of Lords*
A traditional influential institution (referred to the upper house) and a pillar of the British legal system.
Though representation within the House of Lords still has some way to go, in recent decades reform has begun with representation, with the inclusion of women, ‘Black’ and Asian members.
All major national legislation; laws that protect, govern and support the growth of British civil society have passed through the House of Lords to get its seal of approval, that includes the landmark Climate Change Act 2008.
